For this reason, if has not settled down in our system an access password, and once lapsed 14 days from the installation of our system, our operating system will show us a warning.

This warning will allow us 'to change' our password, requesting us the previous one and the new countersign.

With this tip, we will have the possibility to modify and to configure the expiration of the password from the system to our pleasure.

Folow these steps:

1- Go to Start Menu.

2- Run, Regedit.

3- Find the key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftwindowsNTCurrentVersionWinlogon

4 - Create a new type value DWORD with the name PasswordExpiryWarning (in the case of existing alone we will modify it).

5 - Introduce in this key the value in decimal format of days, equivalent to the number of days in that we want that our system made the expiration of passwords.
